ABA Therapy
Our ABA therapy programs are designed to support children with autism spectrum disorder. We use evidence-based practices to help children develop communication, social, and behavioral skills.

What Is Applied Behavior Analysis

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a practice based on the science that studies behavior. It consists of individualized behavior intervention plans used to teach and increase socially significant behaviors, and to decrease the ones that are detrimental to the individual’s life or impede learning

Who provides ABA

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst, or BCBA, is a graduate or a doctoral level professional who is certified under the Behavior Analyst Certification Board BACB.

A BCBA conducts initial and ongoing assessments, designs and analyzes treatment goals, continuously trains staff and family/caregivers. BCBA provides ongoing supervision to the Registered Behavior Technician - RBT who may also implement one-to-one treatment plans to the individuals who receive ABA services.

Registered Behavior Technician, also known as RBT,  is a professional who is certified under the BACB board and works under the supervision of a BCBA or a BCaBA. They work on one to one basis with a child by implementing behavioral intervention programs created by the BCBA/BCaBA.

All behavior analysts are bound to follow the Behavior Analyst Certification Board BACB code of ethics, for more information please see the BACB board website https://www.bacb.com/

What is the goal of the ABA education plan?

Our goal is to provide your child with all the tools necessary to succeed in the community, at school, and at home. Whether it is to learn appropriate social skills, develop everyday basic life skills, manage their stress response, or establish focus and attention in school.

What should I do after my child receives An ASD diagnosis

After your child receives an official diagnosis from a qualified professional, you will request them to make a referral to our ABA clinic, next, you will complete an intake package.

After completing an intake package,  we will schedule an initial Assessment.

Initial Assessment

The initial assessment is completed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst - BCBA. The BCBA uses assessment tools to evaluate your child’s developmental milestones showing areas of weakness and strengths. The visit will be in person and take approximately 2 hours. During the visit, the BCBA will interact with your child by playing and presenting toys; they will also be asked to perform some tasks. Additionally, a parent questionnaire will be completed to obtain important information about your child. After the in-person visit, the BCBA will score the assessment and write a behavior intervention plan with goals and strategies to teach your child.
